Are you loving my series on Sea Street cards? I had a great time making them. The octopus is stamped, cut out, and popped up using dimensionals today. I think it looks like he’s flexing his muscles. 🙂 The fish in the background are from the Maritime DSP, along with the waves in the coastal cabana.
The real red cardstock that frames the octopus is the negative image from punching out a jagged circle from the Starburst framelits. This is a great technique to make the most of the paper you might normally throw away from cutting out an image.
Want to get the supplies to make this card for free? This is one of the 4 cards and 1 WOW project for this month’s Stamps in the Mail program. You purchase the stamp set and a pack of dimensionals, using hostess code, WDSTZHQT, and I will send you the cardstock, embellishments, envelopes, and directions to make all of the projects. Orders must be received by June 12 and supply packs will be mailed to you around June 15.
It’s that simple! Be sure to check out the details on my Stamps in the Mail page, found above this post.
