As promised, here are the items I made to decorate and celebrate Addison’s birthday. The banner was SO simple and I just love how it turned out. Elizabeth helped me put the letters on and make the streamers, so it was also a fun project we could do together.
The favors were a CASE out of the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog. Do you have your copy? If not, please let me know and I will mail one to you! SAB is coming January 28 and is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest event of the year. Spend $50 and get a SAB item FREE! Notice the gold banners in the favors below? They are from the upcoming banner punch in the SAB catalog. I got it free when I ordered the Celebrations bundle, also in the SAB catalog. It is a great punch and will get a lot of use. 🙂
To make the favors, I used the bags in the Celebration Basics Kit, and paper from the Calypso Coral Celebration Add-On Kit. The banner shape was made by running 2 inch strips of the patterned paper through the big shot using the Banners Framelits dies (the reason why some are flags and some come to a point). “Enjoy” was stamped with calypso coral ink onto whisper white cardstock and adhered to the patterned paper with the gold banners adhered behind. This all held the bag closed with dimensionals.
What do you think? I love how it all turned out and can’t wait to reuse the banner in 6 weeks for Elizabeth’s party. 🙂 Tune in tomorrow when I show you the super simple and uber cute thank you notes I made to complete the ensemble.
